Investment

Through FACTS EA, we offer the opportunity to invest and fund FACTS operations which benefit SME ‘s in Africa as a sound and solid financial intermediary, or as a direct investment.

Today, we are actively using Lendahand (www.Lendahand.com), one of the Netherlands most successful and AFM regulated crowd funding platforms. FACTS Kenya and or FACTS Kenya issue notes which are offered to crowd lenders via the platform. We fully comply with Lendahand’s strict admission requirements and quality standards.

To fund the launch of our operations in 2015, FACM received Seed Capital from DGGF (www.dggf.nl) and ICCO Investments (www.c4dpartners.com). We recently secured funding from Advance Global Capital, a specialized SCF Fund in London (www.advanceglobalcap.com).  In addition we are seeking funding from DFI’s, and FACM is in discussion with several impact investors, who focus on “inclusive financing”.

FACM welcomes closer cooperation with DFI’s and donors, and is also seeking dialogue with Technical Assistance partners on financial support that we would use for:

  • supporting the start-up of FACTS operations in Tanzania and Rwanda (we received substantial support from AECF for our Uganda operations) and piloting the bank collaboration model. The TA would be used for market research, workshops and social media, legal cost, training staff financial institutions, training & coaching clients, onboarding clients etc.
  • supporting our IGNITE MY SME training initiative – which is geared towards professionalizing SMEs and preparing them to compete in the global market place;
  • to upgrade the current technology with ASYX, our IT partner and upgrade the SCF platform, building bank interfaces, enhancing and improving credit tools, building a data base and integrating mobile payment infrastructure to facilitate fund transfers.
